Sending a Clarification Request for a Prescription

When filling prescriptions and more information is required (e.g. authorization from a doctor, verify SIG, etc.) or a billing issue, these prescriptions will need to be placed in the Pending tab and a clarification request needs to be sent.

To send a Clarification Request in PharmaClik Rx:

  1. Create a new prescription (Workbench > New) until you reach the Rx Detail stage.
  2. Review the information in Rx Detail and identify if further clarification is required prior to filling the prescription (e.g. SIG does not mach the drug strength).
  3. If further clarification is required, select RxServicesForms.
  4. By default, the Clarification Request Report Name is selected. Keep this selected.
  5. From the Reason dropdown, select an appropriate reason (default selection is Verifying Prescription).
  6. In the Info From the Pharmacist box, update specific information that requires clarification.
  7. Select the Print or Fax button.
