Refilling a Long-Term Care Prescription from Patient Folder

To refill a long-term care prescription, do the following:

  1. Press the Patient button.
  2. Search for and select the patient.
  3. The patient’s folder will appear. Press the Profile tab at the top of the screen.
  4. Highlight the prescription(s) to be refilled.
  5. Press the Refill button.
  6. A prompt may ask if you want to process the prescription(s) now. Press the Yes button.

If you press No the prescription(s) will be placed on the To Do tab on the Workbench. The prescription(s) can be processed at another time.

  1. Rx Detail will appear on the screen. Make any necessary changes to the administration time in the Admin Times field. (Optional)
  2. Make any necessary changes to the group Rx status by making a selection from the Rx Status drop-down list. (Optional)
  3. Continue to fill the prescription as usual.
  4. If multiple prescriptions were selected, the next prescription will appear in Rx Detail. Repeat steps 7-9 until all of the prescriptions have been refilled.
