Amending a Prescription

You can make a change to a completed prescription by amending it, however you cannot change the billing when you amend a prescription. If a claim has been processed by the patient's third party, you must rebill the prescription instead of amending it.

Note: You can only change the quantity authorized amount if it is the first fill of the prescription. If the prescription is filled more than once then you will not be able to change the quantity authorized amount as this will nullify the original Rx.
