Filling OTCs in Blister Packs for Non-Retail Patients
This prescription would need to be refilled weekly to obtain a label set for the blister pack. The prescription should not appear on financial reports, since no pharmacy inventory is being dispensed.
The prescription should be filled using group Rx status P - First Fill Print Only. This allows the prescription to be filled and refilled without creating billing - the price of the prescription will be $0.00. This group Rx status allows the prescription to appear on various reports such as Blister and Dosett reports, but it will not appear on financial reports. The prescription will therefore not affect gross profit values.
Note: You can also customize the description of group Rx status code P. The description appears beside the status code in Rx Detail and on various reports. Customizing the description is way to standardize the use of the code throughout all non-retail groups.
