Checking for Interactions Between a Patient's Active Prescriptions

When you open a prescription in Rx Detail, PharmaClik Rx automatically checks for drug interactions and duplications. You can also manually check for interactions between a specific drug and the patient profile by using a patient consultation.

To check for interactions between a patient's active prescriptions, do the following:

  1. Open a patient.
  2. Press the Consult tab.
  3. Select a consultation and press the Details button.

Note: If the patient does not have any consultations, you can add a consultation and then cancel it after checking for drug interactions.

  1. Press All Interaction. PharmaClik Rx checks all the active medications in the patient's profile against one another. If there are any drugs in the Drugs Involved list, PharmaClik Rx checks for interactions with these drugs as well.

In addition to interactions, the Interaction Summary displays the companion products for all active drugs on the patient’s profile, as well as all drugs listed in the Drugs Involved section.

Note: To check for interactions between a drug and the patient's active and Hold medications, add the drug to the Drugs Involved list, then press All Interaction
