Exporting Reports to Spreadsheet Applications

Reports can be exported to an external spreadsheet software of your choice when the Save As button is available in the Report Preview window. Exporting to a spreadsheet allows you to manipulate reports; add new columns, remove columns, change the sort order, among other functions.

Tip: Using a spreadsheet also gives you the flexibility to work remotely - move the file to a cloud and work on it from your office or home.

To export a report:

  1. In PharmaClik Rx Reports, generate and preview the report as usual.
  2. Select Save As in the Preview window. The Save As window opens.
  3. From the Save In dropdown, select the location you want to save the report.

Tip: You can save a report to a cloud drive by navigating to the cloud drive on your computer (learn how to find the cloud drive).

  4. In the File name field, enter a name for the file.
  5. From the Save as type dropdown, select Excel with Headers or CSV with Headers.

Note: If either of these save types are not selected, the report will not display correctly in the spreadsheet software.

  6. Select Save. The Save As window closes.
  7. Select Exit. PharmaClik Rx Reports closes.

For information on how to print or modify the report in the spreadsheet software, consult the support documentation for the spreadsheet software directly.

Non-Exportable Reports

There are some reports that cannot be exported to a spreadsheet software. These reports are identified by a greyed out Save As button in PharmaClik Rx Reports.

The following reports cannot be exported to a spreadsheet software:

  • Condensed Sales Analysis

Note: An alternative report that can be exported to a spreadsheet software is the Net Sales Analysis report. For more information, see Net Sales Analysis Report.

  • Doctor Mailing Labels
  • Patient Mailing Labels

How do I find my cloud drive in the Save File As window?

Depending on your cloud storage system, the cloud may be accessible from different locations on your computer. Some systems are accessible via a desktop app (e.g. DropBox, Google Drive), while others may be built-in (e.g. OneDrive in the C: drive > Users folder). Choose the location that applies to your cloud storage system.
