Filling Prescriptions for a Patient Not Enrolled in the Program

The patient name, located at the top of the ‘New Prescription’ window will be highlighted red, as shown in the image below. This indicates that the patient has not enrolled in the diem® premium care app program at your pharmacy.

To fill a prescription for a patient not enrolled in the program:

  1. Navigate to WorkbenchPrescription.
  2. Select the To Do tab.
  3. Double click the prescription row or attachment icon that has the W indicator. Result: The ‘New Prescription’ window will open. The patient’s name will be highlighted red and the Patient field will be populated.

Note: In the Search window, the patient may not be found. You may need to clear the search and try again or enter the patient as New. For details, see step 5.

  4. Using the information provided in the prescription image, enter in criterion to search for the patient.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • If the patient exists in PharmaClik Rx:
      • Validate that the information in the Patient Folder matches the information provided in the ‘New Prescription’ window. If so, highlight the patient and select the OK button.
    • If the patient does not exist in PharmaClik Rx:
      • Select the New button and proceed to enter the information provided in the ‘New Prescription’ window to complete the patient file (e.g. patient birthday, address, etc.). Once you are done, select the OK button.

Note: Prior to creating a new Patient Folder, ensure you complete an extensive search. This will prevent duplicate Patient Folders from being created.

  1. Use the prescription image to complete the following remaining fields:
    • Drug(s)
    • Doctor
    • Qty Auth
    • Qty
    • SIG

    • If you wish to fill the prescription at a later time, select the To Do button. The prescription will appear in the To Do tab. Once your pharmacy is ready to process the Rx, they can do so from there.
